R Madhavan-Fatima Sana Shaikh to romance in age-defying love story by Dharmatic

Actors R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen together in Dharmatic Entertainment’s next film. As per an official note shared by the production team, the two stars will be featured in an age-defying love story, directed by Vivek Soni.
The romantic-comedy is expected to go on floor by the end of this month. The rest of the details have been kept under wraps. It is believed to be a quirky story involving an elderly man and a younger woman falling in love with each other.
This will be Fatima’s second outing with Dharmatic Entertainment. The Dangal star earlier worked with the OTT wing of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in the Netflix anthology series Ajeeb Daastaans. Also, this will be the first film in many years starring Madhavan in a romantic role – a treat for the fans of Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein. The actor was seen in the role of a black magician, an aspiring demon God, in Shaitaan. The film was directed by Vikas Bahl and also featured Ajay Devgn in the lead.
Meanwhile, Fatima will be seen next in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino alongside Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan. She also has Ul Jalool Ishq with Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma and Sharib Hashmi, among others. The actor is also paired alongside Akshay Kumar in the C Shankaran Nair biopic.
Madhavan and Fatima would make a pretty unlikely pair on the screen. The two have never worked together, and the audience is expected to see them as a fresh couple on the screen.
